Village
Homes, farms, workstations, and villagers in one of five building styles. Players look for villages to trade, find food, shelter, and chest loot, or set up a base around an existing community.

How it generates
Villages start on the surface in an eligible biome and fit their buildings and paths to the terrain. Buildings can spill across biome borders. Meadows use the plains style.
Biomes
- Plains
- Desert
- Savanna
- Snowy Plains
- Taiga
- Meadow
Placement values are Java 26.3's, in chunks. They aren't guaranteed distances between villages. Bedrock also allows Sunflower Plains and Snowy Taiga, with plains and taiga buildings. In both editions a village has a 2% chance of being a zombie village, which uses the same five Java structure IDs.
Variants
- Plains · Oak-based buildings; also used in meadows and Bedrock sunflower plains.
- Desert · Sandstone buildings; desert villages can generate a camel.
- Savanna · Acacia buildings with colorful terracotta details.
- Snowy · Snow, ice, and spruce buildings in snowy plains.
- Taiga · Spruce buildings; Bedrock snowy taiga uses this architecture too.
- Zombie Village · Abandoned versions of all five styles, with zombie villagers, cobwebs, and missing doors and torches. In Java they use the normal village IDs.
