Image use and permissions
SeedLookout captures the in-game screenshots on our seed and structure pages and prepares them for publication. You need written permission before republishing our screenshots, including in an article, video, social post or other website. Crediting SeedLookout alone does not grant permission.
You can share a link to a SeedLookout page without requesting permission to republish an image. You can also use the published seed and coordinates to explore the world and take your own screenshots.
What our permission covers
© SeedLookout for original capture and presentation. Underlying Minecraft assets belong to their respective owners.
Our permission concerns only our original capture and presentation, including our captions and graphics. Minecraft's underlying game assets belong to Mojang and Microsoft. We cannot grant rights to those assets; their use remains subject to the Minecraft Usage Guidelines and applicable agreements.
This page does not grant permission for third-party images, Minecraft Wiki text or other credited material. Those materials have their own owners and terms. Open-source software is listed separately in our open-source credits.
When a use is approved
- Follow the scope and conditions of the written permission we send you.
- Credit SeedLookout and link to the original seed or structure page.
- Keep the seed, Minecraft edition, version and coordinates accurate. Ask before cropping, removing a caption or watermark, or making other edits.
- Present the image as an in-game screenshot and avoid implying that SeedLookout, Mojang or Microsoft endorses your publication.
This page explains our screenshot reuse terms. It does not grant a Creative Commons license or a general right to redistribute our images. It does not restrict rights available under applicable law.
