NETHER · NETHER STRUCTURES
Nether Fortress
Nether-brick bridges and enclosed corridors that can stretch across lava or cut through netherrack. Players come for blaze rods, Nether wart, and wither skeleton skulls.
From the Minecraft Wiki, summarised
How it generates
Bridges span open Nether terrain and lava seas, while corridors can be buried in netherrack.
Biomes
- Nether Wastes
- Soul Sand Valley
- Crimson Forest
- Warped Forest
- Basalt Deltas
In Java, fortresses share a placement grid (minecraft:nether_complexes) with bastion remnants. Each 432×432-block region gets one candidate, which becomes a fortress or a bastion at 2:3 odds. A bastion that would start in basalt deltas becomes a fortress instead. Bedrock uses 480×480-block regions and picks a fortress 1 time in 3. Height limits aren't confirmed. Bedrock's added version is the Pocket Edition release.
