A flower forest camp is the Flower Forest version of the abandoned camp: a white wool tent that generates only in Flower Forest biomes. The map that leads to one is the Flower Forest Camp Map, the same name in Java 26.3 and Bedrock 26.50.
You get that map from a common chest at a camp in a different biome. Barrels never hold it, and a chest standing in a Flower Forest never offers it. Follow the map to the camp symbol and look for a white tent among the trees and flowers.
Camps arrived in Java 26.3 and Bedrock 26.50. The map steps work in both editions. The chest rules and camp layouts below come from the Java 26.3 game files, with Bedrock noted where Mojang’s 26.50 sample files agree, and the three example camps were checked in game in Java 26.3.
Where to get a Flower Forest Camp Map
Find any abandoned camp and open its common chests. Camp barrels hold supplies such as bread, coal and straw beds, and never a camp map.
In Java 26.3, each common chest picks one camp map from eight destinations of equal weight, and leaves out the destination that matches the biome the chest stands in. For the Flower Forest Camp Map, that works out like this:
| Where the chest stands | Chance the chest picks a Flower Forest Camp Map |
|---|---|
| A Forest, Meadow, Taiga or other biome without its own camp map | 1 in 8 |
| Bamboo Jungle, Birch Forest, Cherry Grove, Dappled Forest, Pale Garden, Swamp or Windswept Forest | 1 in 7 |
| Flower Forest | Never |
If the game then fails to find a flower forest camp for the map, the map is discarded and that chest has no camp map at all.
So the chests at a flower forest camp will not normally give you this map. They can still give you one of the other seven: a Bamboo, Birch Forest, Cherry Grove, Dappled Forest, Pale Garden, Swamp or Windswept Forest Camp Map. Read the item’s full name before you set off.
Mojang’s Bedrock 26.50 sample files follow the same rule. Each common chest makes one camp-map pick, a chest in a Flower Forest skips the Flower Forest map, and barrels hold no maps. We have not worked out Bedrock odds, so the table above is for Java only.
Following the map
Hold the map, move your player marker into the area it shows, then walk toward the camp symbol. The map is north-up. If your marker sits on the edge, the swamp camp map guide has a table of which way to travel from each edge and how to check direction in Java and Bedrock; the steps are the same for every camp map.
The camp marked on your map is not always the closest one to you. If you pass another tent on the way, keep following the map to reach the camp it marks.
What a flower forest camp looks like
The camp sits on the surface and fits itself to the ground. In Java 26.3 it starts with one of ten tent designs, all built from white wool stairs. Nine of the ten have straw beds. Seven include a common chest; the other three have only barrels.
Beside the tent, the camp adds a campsite piece drawn from 49 designs. Forty-five are shared with other camp biomes. Four appear only at flower forest camps, and each has a campfire and a flower bed:
- lilacs, peonies and rose bushes, with dandelions, lilies of the valley and an oxeye daisy
- alliums, azure bluets and cornflowers
- red, orange, pink and white tulips
- a dense bed of rose bushes
Six of the tent designs have flowers of their own as well. At the checked camps below, the tent shows up as a small white shape in a clearing or on an open slope among the trees. From above, look for the white outline of the tent between the treetops.

The secret chest
Two of the four flower-forest campsite designs have a secret chest: an oxidized copper chest buried under a block of gravel directly beneath the campfire. Break the campfire, then the gravel below it, to reach the chest.
Many camps have no secret chest. Only 19 of the 49 campsite designs a flower forest camp can draw include one. When there is one, it can hold maps to other structures, such as Trial Chambers or a Woodland Mansion, and diamonds or potions; diamonds are not guaranteed.
Flower forest camps checked in game
We checked these three flower forest camps in game in Java 26.3. Create a new Java 26.3 world with the seed and go to the coordinates.
- Lakeside camp, with trial chambers to the east: seed
7778802864780158, camp at X, Y, Z-144, 65, 96. - Forest camp south of a plains village: seed
1429451576662801, camp at X, Y, Z32, 76, 304. - Hilltop camp above a river, east of an ancient city: seed
3233241926201645, camp at X, Y, Z160, 94, -256.
The checks cover each camp’s location, not its chests, so they say nothing about maps or loot at these camps. Bedrock and other Java versions may generate a different world from the same seed.

If you cannot find the camp
Check the map’s name
Make sure the item says Flower Forest Camp Map. A Birch Forest or Dappled Forest Camp Map leads to a camp in that biome instead.
Check the world’s version
Camps do not appear in chunks generated before the update that added them. In a world upgraded from an older version, the camp has to be in terrain first generated in Java 26.3 or Bedrock 26.50 or later. Data packs, experimental features, custom world settings and mods can also change what generates; see versions and accuracy.
Look under the trees
Trees can hide the tent from the side. Check the clearings near the symbol, and look down from a high point or from the treetops.
Looking for one without a map
The abandoned camp finder lists predicted camps for a seed, and its Notes column gives the biome each camp is predicted to use, so look for Flower forest. On the seed map, turn on abandoned camp markers and open a camp to see its type; the Biomes panel can also find and highlight the nearest Flower Forest. Both tools show model predictions for the edition and version you choose, so check the camp in your game. For example, with seed 7778802864780158 in Java 26.3 and a search from X, Z 0, 0, the finder’s first result is a predicted Flower forest camp at X, Z -144, 96: the lakeside camp we checked in game. For other camp variants and their loot, see the abandoned camp reference.
